A local authority:(1) may, by ordinance, prohibit pedestrians from crossing a roadway in a business district or a designated highway except in a crosswalk, which may be established by the ordinance; and(2) shall mark the crosswalks in a manner conforming to the uniform system of traffic control devices created under IC 9-21-3.[Pre-1991 Recodification Citation: 9-4-1-86(b).]As added by P.L.2-1991, SEC.9.
