2D.4 Executive branch protocol officer. The lieutenant governor, or the lieutenant governor’s designee, shall be the executive branch protocol officer. The protocol officer shall work with the international relations committee of the legislative council and the legislative branch protocol officer in developing and implementing protocol for state, national, and international visitors to the state capitol and in improving coordination between the legislative and executive branches in international relations activities. 2000 Acts, ch 1102, §4; 2008 Acts, ch 1156, §5, 58
