34A.1 Purpose. The general assembly finds that 911 emergency telephone communication systems and other emergency 911 notification devices further the public interest and protect the health, safety, and welfare of the people of Iowa. The purpose of this chapter is to enable the orderly development, installation, and operation of 911 emergency telephone communication systems and other emergency 911 notification devices statewide.
