80B.8 Compensation and expenses. The members of the council, who are not employees of the state or a political subdivision, shall be paid a per diem as specified in section 7E.6. All members of the council shall be reimbursed for necessary and actual expenses incurred in attending meetings and in the performance of their duties. All per diem and expense moneys paid to nonlegislative members shall be paid from funds appropriated to the Iowa law enforcement academy.
