80E.4 Drug abuse resistance education fund. A drug abuse resistance education fund is created as a separate fund in the state treasury under the control of the department of public safety for the office of drug control policy for use by the drug abuse resistance education program and other programs with a similar purpose. The fund shall consist of appropriations made to the fund and transfers of interest, moneys collected from the crime services surcharge established in section 911.1, and earnings. All moneys in the fund are appropriated to the department of public safety. Notwithstanding section 8.33, any balance in the fund on June 30 of any fiscal year shall not revert to any other fund of the state but shall remain available for the purposes described in this section. 2020 Acts, ch 1074, §48, 93; 2023 Acts, ch 19, §2190 Referred to in §602.8108 Section amended
