135B.35 Pediatric congenital heart surgery — public reporting of data — patient education. A hospital licensed under this chapter that provides pediatric congenital heart surgery shall do all of the following: 1. Participate in a qualified clinical data registry for thoracic surgery by providing all pediatric congenital heart surgery data required and consenting to public reporting of the data shared. 2. Provide information regarding how to access the national information provided in the qualified clinical data registry for thoracic surgery during an educational consultation with a parent or legal guardian of a pediatric patient for whom a congenital heart surgery procedure is recommended. 2019 Acts, ch 78, §1
