135G.2 Purpose. The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the development, establishment, and enforcement of basic standards for the operation, construction, and maintenance of a subacute care facility which will ensure the safe and adequate diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of persons with serious and persistent mental illness so that the persons are able to experience recovery and live successfully in the community. 2012 Acts, ch 1120, §41
