135H.14 Judicial review. Judicial review of the action of the department may be sought pursuant to the Iowa administrative procedure Act, chapter 17A. Notwithstanding the Iowa administrative procedure Act, chapter 17A, a petition for judicial review of the department’s actions under this chapter may be filed in the district court of the county in which the related psychiatric medical institution for children is located or is proposed to be located.
