139A.8B COVID-19 immunization. 1. Notwithstanding whether a person’s attendance is in person or virtual, immunization against COVID-19 shall not be required for a person to be enrolled in any licensed child care center, elementary or secondary school, or postsecondary school in Iowa prior to July 1, 2029. 2. For the purposes of this section: a. 'COVID-19' means the disease caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 or a virus mutating therefrom, and conditions associated with the disease caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 or a virus mutating therefrom. b. 'Postsecondary school' means a postsecondary institution under the control of the state board of regents, a community college established under chapter 260C, or an accredited private institution as defined in section 256.183. 2022 Acts, ch 1127, §1 Section not amended; internal reference change applied
