154G.1 Definitions. As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires: 1. 'Music therapist' means a person who holds an active music therapist board-certified credential granted by the certification board for music therapists. 2. 'Music therapy' means the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals for people of all ages and ability levels within a therapeutic relationship by a music therapist. 2021 Acts, ch 118, §1
