331.240 Duties of executive. The executive shall: 1. Enforce laws, ordinances, and resolutions of the county. 2. Perform duties required by law, ordinance, or resolution of the county. 3. Administer affairs of the county government. 4. Carry out policies established by the board. 5. Recommend measures to the board. 6. Report to the board on the affairs and financial condition of the county government. 7. Execute bonds, notes, contracts, and written obligations of the board, subject to the approval of the board. 8. Report to the board as the board may require. 9. Attend board meetings and take part in discussion, but shall not vote. 10. Prepare and execute the budget adopted by the board. 11. Appoint, with the consent of the board, all members of county boards, except the executive may appoint without the consent of the board temporary advisory committees established by the executive. 12.
