216A.92B Commission powers and duties. The commission shall have the following powers and duties: 1. Recommend to the board the adoption of rules pursuant to chapter 17A as it deems necessary for the commission and department. 2. Supervise the collection of data regarding the scope of services provided by the community action agencies. 3. Serve as liaisons between the department and the public, sharing information and gathering constituency input. 4. Make recommendations to the governor and the general assembly for executive and legislative action designed to improve the status of low-income persons in the state. 5.
