217.21 Annual report. The department shall, annually, at the time provided by law make a report to the governor and general assembly, and cover in the report the annual period ending with June 30 preceding, which report shall include: 1. An itemized statement of the department’s expenditures concerning each program under the department’s administration. 2. Adequate and complete statistical reports for the state as a whole concerning all payments made under the department’s administration. 3. Such recommendations as to changes in laws under the department’s administration as the director may deem necessary. 4. The observations and recommendations of the director and the council relative to the programs of the department. 5. Such other information as the director or council deems advisable, or which may be requested by the governor or by the general assembly.
