237C.8 Reports and inspections. The department may require submission of reports by a certificate of approval holder and shall cause at least one annual unannounced inspection of a children’s residential facility to assess compliance with applicable requirements and standards. The inspections shall be conducted by the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing in addition to initial, renewal, and other inspections that result from complaints or self-reported incidents.
