422.5A Tax rates. 1. a. The tax imposed in section 422.5 shall be calculated using the following rates in the following tax years in the case of married persons filing jointly: (1) For the tax year beginning on or after January 1, 2023, but before January 1, 2024: (a) On taxable income from 0 through $12,000, the rate of 4.40 percent. (b) On taxable income exceeding $12,000 but not exceeding $60,000, the rate of 4.82 percent. (c) On taxable income exceeding $60,000 but not exceeding $150,000, the rate of 5.70 percent.
