456.2 State geologist — qualifications. The state board of regents shall appoint the state geologist. The state geologist must, at a minimum, have a master’s degree in geology from an accredited college or university and must have at least five years of geological experience. The annual salary of the state geologist shall be determined by the state board of regents.
