461A.11 Gifts — jurisdiction over dedicated lands — plan. 1. The commission may accept gifts of land or other property, or the use of lands or other property for a term of years, and improve and use the land as public state parks. 2. Any land adjacent to a meandered lake or a meandered stream which has been conveyed by gift, dedication, or other means to the public, but has not been conveyed to the jurisdiction of a specific state agency or political subdivision, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the commission and to the rules promulgated pursuant to this chapter. The commission shall prepare a plan for the appropriate public use of such land in accordance with this chapter within two years of its coming under the jurisdiction of the commission.
