461A.29 Limitation on expenditures. The amount to be paid by such city or cities shall in no event exceed one-half of the total purchase price of the land involved in any single purchase, and in no event shall the total amount paid by such city or cities in any single purchase exceed the sum of fifty thousand dollars.
