461A.31A Sale of timber. If the estimated quantity of timber grown in a state park or a preserve to be sold by the department in a sixty-day period is ten thousand board feet or more or if the estimated value of the timber grown in a state park or a preserve to be sold by the department during the same period of time is five thousand dollars or more, the department shall conduct a public hearing on the proposed sale. Notice of the hearing shall be published as provided in section 331.305. After the public hearing, the department may proceed with the sale of the timber. 99 Acts, ch 206, §27
