479.11 Examination — testimony. The board may examine the proposed route of the pipeline or lines and location of the proposed gas storage area or may select an engineer to make the examination. At the hearing, the board shall consider the petition and any objections filed to the petition and may, in its discretion, hear any testimony as may aid the board in determining the propriety of granting the permit.
