512B.13 Institutions. A society may create, maintain, and operate, or may establish organizations to operate, not-for-profit institutions to further the purposes permitted by section 512B.6, subsection1, paragraph 'a', subparagraph (2). The institutions may furnish services free or at a reasonable charge. Any real or personal property owned, held, or leased by the societyfor this purpose shall be reported in every annual statement. A not-for-profit institutionso established is a charitable institution with all the rights, benefits, and privileges givento charitable institutions under the Constitution and laws of the State of Iowa.
