514A.12 Title and effective date of chapter. This chapter may be cited as the 'Uniform Individual Accident and Sickness Act.' This chapter shall take effect on the fourth day of July, 1951. A policy, filed with and approvedby the insurance commissioner prior to the effective date of this chapter for use, delivery, orissue for delivery to any person in this state, may continue to be used, or delivered, or issuedfor delivery to any person in this state for a period of five years from and after said effectivedate without being subject to the provisions of sections 514A.2, 514A.3 and 514A.4; and anyrider or endorsement filed with and approved by the insurance commissioner at any timemay be used, or delivered, or issued for delivery to any person holding such a policy withoutbeing subject to the provisions of sections 514A.2, 514A.3 and 514A.4.
