515.148 Expenses of examination. The necessary expenses of any examination of any insurance company made or ordered to be made by the commissioner of insurance under this chapter shall be certified to by thecommissioner, and paid on the commissioner’s requisition by the company so examined; andin case of failure of the company to make such payment, the commissioner shall suspend suchcompany from doing business in this state until such expenses are paid. If such expensesare not paid by the company, they shall be audited by the director of the department ofadministrative services and paid out of the state treasury.
