524.201 Superintendent of banking. 1. The governor shall appoint, subject to confirmation by the senate, a superintendent of banking. The appointee shall be selected solely with regard to qualification and fitness todischarge the duties of office, and a person shall not be appointed who has not had at leastfive years’ experience as an executive officer in a bank. The superintendent shall serve at thepleasure of the governor. 2. The superintendent shall receive a salary set by the governor within a range established by the general assembly.
