543B.14 Fees and expenses. All fees and charges collected by the real estate commission under this chapter shall be deposited in the licensing and regulation fund created in section 10A.507. Of the moneysdeposited in the fund, twenty-five dollars from each real estate salesperson’s license fee andeach broker’s license fee shall be appropriated to the department of inspections, appeals,and licensing for the purpose of hiring and compensating a real estate education directorand regulatory compliance personnel. All expenses incurred by the commission under thischapter, including compensation of staff assigned to the commission, shall be paid from fundsappropriated for those purposes.
