543E.14 Appraiser independence — compensation. 1. An appraisal management company registered under this chapter shall take all reasonable steps to assure that appraisals are conducted independently and free frominappropriate influence or coercion pursuant to the appraisal independence standardsestablished under section 129E of the federal Truth in Lending Act, including therequirements for the payment of reasonable and customary fees, and in compliance with theindependence, objectivity, and impartiality provisions of section 543D.18, subsections 1 and2, and section 543D.18A. 2.
