554.10101 Effective date. 1. Except as otherwise provided in Article 11 of this chapter, this chapter shall take effect and be in force on and after July 4, 1966. It applies to transactions entered into and eventsoccurring after that date. 2. Transactions validly entered into before the effective date specified in this section and the rights, duties and interests flowing from them remain valid thereafter and may beterminated, completed, consummated or enforced as required or permitted by any statute orother law amended or repealed by this chapter as though such repeal or amendment hadnot occurred.
