589.4 Acknowledgments by corporation officers. The acknowledgments of all deeds, mortgages, or other instruments in writing taken or certified more than ten years earlier, which instruments have been recorded in the recorder’soffice of any county of this state, including acknowledgments of instruments made by acorporation, or to which the corporation was a party, or under which the corporation wasa beneficiary, and which have been acknowledged before or certified by a notarial officeras provided in chapter 9B who was at the time of the acknowledgment or certifying astockholder or officer in the corporation, are legal and valid official acts of the notarialofficers, and entitle the instruments to be recorded, anything in the laws of the state of Iowain regard to acknowledgments to the contrary notwithstanding.
