602.4101 Justices — quorum. 1. The supreme court consists of seven justices. A majority of the justices sitting constitutes a quorum, but fewer than three justices is not a quorum. 2. Justices of the supreme court shall be nominated and appointed and shall stand for retention in office as provided in chapter 46.
