626.44 Nonresident — service — transfer of action. If such secured party is a nonresident or the party’s residence is unknown, service may be made by publication as in other actions, but if such residence becomes known before finalsubmission, the court may order personal service to be made. If commenced at law, the courtmay transfer the same to the equity side as in other cases.
