633.41 Consular representatives — notice. Whenever in the course of the administration of any estate, it shall appear that any subject, citizen, or national of a foreign country is interested as an heir, devisee, legatee,or otherwise, and the address of such person is unknown to the personal representative,the personal representative shall give notice by mail to the consular representative of suchcountry for Iowa of the pendency of such proceedings and of the particular interest of suchforeign subject. If such consular representative shall not have filed the representative’sdesignation and address with the clerk, then such notice shall be mailed to the chiefdiplomatic representative of such foreign country at Washington, D.C. Failure to give suchnotice shall in no event and in no manner affect title to property.
