633.615 Secretary of veterans affairs — party in interest. The secretary of veterans affairs of the United States, the secretary’s successor, or the designee of either, shall be a party in interest in any proceeding for the appointmentor removal of a conservator, or for the termination of the conservatorship, and in anysuit or other proceeding, including reports and accountings, affecting in any manner theadministration of those assets that were derived in whole or in part from benefits paid bythe United States department of veterans affairs. Not less than fifteen days prior to the timeset for a hearing in any such matters, notice, in writing, of the time and place thereof shallbe given by mail to the office of the United States department of veterans affairs havingjurisdiction over the area in which such matter is pending.
