654.25 Application of other statutes. If the plaintiff has elected foreclosure without redemption, chapter 628 does not apply. A provision in a mortgage permitted by section 628.26 or 628.27 shall not be construed as anagreement by the mortgagee not to elect foreclosure without redemption. The election maybe made in any petition filed on or after June 4, 1987.
