657A.10C Petition for injunction. 1. As an alternative to the remedies under this chapter, a city, or a county if a property that is alleged to be a public nuisance is located outside the limits of a city, may petition thecourt for an injunction that requires the owner of the property to correct or eliminate thecondition or violation causing the public nuisance. Service of the original notice shall bemade as provided in section 657A.2, subsection 1. 2. This section shall not apply to a house, barn, outbuilding, or other building or structure located on agricultural land. For purposes of this subsection, 'agricultural land' means landsuitable for use in farming.
