679A.15 Applications to district court. Except as otherwise provided, an application to the district court under this chapter shall be by motion and shall be heard in the manner and upon the notice provided by law or ruleof civil procedure, for the making and hearing of motions. Unless the parties have agreedotherwise, notice of an initial application for an order shall be served in the manner providedby the Iowa rules of civil procedure for the service of original notice in an action.
