805.5 Failure to appear. Any person who willfully fails to appear in court as specified by the citation shall be guilty of a simple misdemeanor. Where a defendant fails to make a required court appearance, thecourt shall issue an arrest warrant for the offense of failure to appear, and shall forward thewarrant and the original or electronically produced citation to the clerk. The clerk shall entera transfer to the issuing agency on the docket, and shall return the warrant with the originalor electronically produced citation attached to the law enforcement agency which issued thecitation for enforcement of the warrant. Upon arrest of the defendant, the warrant and theoriginal or electronically produced citation shall be returned to the court, and the offensesshall be heard and disposed of simultaneously.
