904.509 Money deposited with treasurer of state. 1. Money from property converted pursuant to section 904.508 shall be transmitted to the treasurer of state as soon after one year after the death of the inmate as practicable. Acomplete permanent record of the property, showing by whom and with whom it was left, itsamount when converted to money, the date of the death of the owner, the owner’s reputedplace of residence before becoming an inmate of the institution, the date on which the moneywas sent to the treasurer of state, and any other facts which may tend to identify the decedentand explain the case, shall be kept by the superintendent of the institution, and a transcriptof the record shall be sent to and kept by the treasurer of state. 2.
