177.890 Agreements with United States authorized. The commissioner of highways is hereby authorized to enter into agreements with the United States Secretary of Transportation for the purpose of carrying out the national policy of promoting the safety, convenience and enjoyment of public travel and the free flow of interstate commerce and the protection of the public investment in the national system of interstate and defense highways and federal-aid primary highways within the Commonwealth.
