304.14 -605 Purpose and application to policies of KRS 304.14 -600 to 304.14 -625. (1) The purpose of KRS 304.14 -600 to 304.14 -625 is to promote the public interest, to promote the availability of long -term care insurance policies, to protect applicants for long -term care insurance from unfair or deceptive sales or enrollment practices, to establish standards for long -term care insurance, to facilitate public understanding and comparison of long -term care insurance policies, and to facilitate flexibility and innovation in the development of long -term care insurance coverage. (2) The requirem ents of KRS 304.14 -600 to 304.14 -625 shall apply to policies delivered or issued for delivery in this Commonwealth on or after July 14, 1992, except as stated in KRS 304.14 -610.
