304.5 -165 'Disability income insurance' defined. (1) As used in this chapter, 'disability income insurance' means insurance that provides for periodic payments, weekly, monthly, or otherwise, for a specified period during the continuance of disability resulting from sickness, injury, or a combination of sick ness and injury. (2) Disability income insurance shall be classified and filed as: (a) Except as provided in paragraph (b) of this subsection, health insurance; or (b) Life insurance, if offered as an additional incidental benefit under a life insurance po licy or contract.
