431.017 Appearance bond of prosecuting witness. A judge, trial commissioner, or other officer issuing an arrest warrant based upon the testimony or allegations of a prosecuting witness may require the witness to post a bond in favor of the Commonwealth to secure the attendance of that witness in court i n all matters relating to that particular arrest warrant. The amount of the bond shall be twenty - five dollars ($25). In the event that the prosecuting witness fails to appear and does not present valid reason therefor, the trial court shall order the forfe iture of the bond.
