49.290 Nonresident victims of criminal acts occurring in Kentucky -- Limits on operation of statute. (1) 'Victim' shall also include nonresidents of this state who suffer losses as a direct result of criminal acts occurring within this state. (2) This section shall be operative only during those time periods during which the Crime Victims Compensation Board determines that federal funds are available to the state for the compensation of victims of crime.
