6.145 Resignation of member. A member of the General Assembly who desires to resign his office shall submit a letter of resignation to the officer required to issue a writ of special election to fill such vacancy, pursuant to KRS 118.730. Upon receiving such letter of resignation such officer immediately shall notify the director of the Legislative Research Commission of the fact of such resignation and its effective date.
