65.027 Reciprocal preference to be given to resident bidders by local governments. (1) As used in this section, 'local government' means city, county, urban -county, consolidated local government, charter county, unified local government, or special district. (2) For all contracts awarded by a local government, the local government shall apply the reciprocal preference for resident bidders described in KRS 45A.494. The term 'unified county' in subsection (1) of this section has been changed in codification to 'unified local government' in order to use the correct, statutory term for a united city -county government and maintain consistency with the current text of the Kentucky Revised Statutes.
