§ 67.920

67.920 Redistricting of unified local government legislative districts. (1) If the unification plan of a unified local government provides for election of legislative council members by legislative district, the legislative council may defer redistricting of legislative districts, subsequent to each decennial census by the United States Bureau of Census, until after completion of the redistricting of General Assembly seats within the unified local government after that census. (2) The redistricting of unified local government legislative districts under this section shall be effect ive for the first regular unified local government primary election scheduled more than one hundred eighty (180) days after completion of the redistricting, but, in no event shall the redistricting become effective later than two (2) years after release of the census data upon which the redistricting is based.
