70.310 Bond and oath of constable and deputy constable -- Minimum -- Record. (1) Every constable and each deputy constable appointed under KRS 70.320 shall execute a bond in an amount determined sufficient by the fiscal court or the legislative counc il of the urban -county government or legislative body of a consolidated local government, the minimum amount of which shall be ten thousand dollars ($10,000), with good sureties approved by the fiscal court. (2) The bond shall be recorded by the fiscal cou rt with the county clerk, and the approval of the sureties shall be entered on the records of the fiscal court. (3) The bond shall be renewed biennially, and more often if required by the fiscal court or the legislative council of an urban -county governmen t or legislative body of a consolidated local government. When additional security is required of the constable or deputy constable, he or she shall be given at least ten (10) days' notice. Effective: January 1, 2023 History: Amended 2022 Ky.
