RS 1:58.4 - A day of remembrance; Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita The first Sunday after the commencement of hurricane season of every year shall be recognized as a day of remembrance for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita Day shall be observed as a memorial of one of the greatest tragedies in the state of Louisiana. Acts 2008, No. 800, §1.
