RS 11:1319 - Pension of parents of deceased employee hired on or before December 31, 2010 For any employee whose first employment making him eligible for membership in one of the state systems occurred on or before December 31, 2010, if there is no surviving spouse and no minor children, a monthly pension of twenty-five percent of the average salary of the deceased employee shall be paid to the parent or parents of the deceased employee, if they, or either of them, derived their main support from the employee.
