RS 11:3032 - Purpose of system The purpose of such system is to provide retirement annuities and other benefits for the appointive officers and employees of the City of Bogalusa who become aged or otherwise incapacitated, thereby enabling them to accumulate reserves for themselves and their dependents to meet, without prejudice or hardship, the hazards of old age, disability, death, and termination of employment, with the objective of encouraging qualified personnel to enter and remain in the service of the City, thus effecting economy and efficiency in the administration of the City.
