RS 11:3383 - Minimum pension for firefighters on retired list A. Any other provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, each firefighter on the retired list of the fire department and each surviving spouse of a member of the fire department shall receive a pension of not less than twelve hundred dollars per month. B. The contributions now required by law to be paid into the fund by firefighters on the active list shall not be increased by reason of any provision of this Section.
